After recently being a finalist in the FAD 2012 illustration competition my work was featured at London fashion week, a preview of my illustration boards from the event can be found on their website.

An innocent approach to illustration was taken communicating a reminiscent childlike theme.

Final Major Project

Kaleidoscopic by Rebecca Dring

It is safe to say the journey of FMP has been an interesting one and as the days pass and the end gets closer I am starting to wish that it wouldn't be over so soon, whilst the long hours and massive workload at times seems overwhelming, i have realised that the creative freedom of designing your own collection, gives artistic satisfaction like no other. I am definitely a slave to fashion at the moment!

My collection kaleidoscopic features clashing prints created by taking photographs from the inside of a kaleidoscope. Prints are symbolic of overwhelming brain activity and colours, shapes and clashing of objects represent thoughts and emotions.

Here is a preview of the prints that will be featured in the collection, designed for autumn winter 2013

When I Grow Up

I recently completed design work for the Fashion Awareness Direct competition, my design work was based around a childlike way of dressing, nostalgic shapes and clashing prints communicated an innocent design concept.

Here we go.....

So after spending countless hours scouring the internet for my 'fashion fix' on other peoples blogs I finally have my own!. I am currently studying Fashion enterprise at Cleveland College of Art and Design. I will be using Rebecca Hearts to document the journey through my final year at university as well as exposing all my current fashion obsessions
